| Project: Website Development for Landrum Middle School Software Used: Macromedia DreamWeaver, Flash, and Adobe PhotoShop My Philosophy: The potential for a school web site is far greater than just a place on the web to provide information: it can be the communication hub and information clearinghouse for the school, providing students and parents with all of the announcements, calendars, policies, syllabi, and course materials they need to be successful. At the same time, the web site can serve as a record of the activities of the school: academic, social, and athletic. Ultimately the web site should be an essential resource that everyone will want to visit on a daily basis. Description: I was asked to develop and create a new web site for Landrum Middle School. The goal was to make the site easy to navigate, clean and professional looking while still making it inviting. My design solution allows all information to be navigated with just a few clicks of the mouse while Flash photo galleries invite people in and convey a sense of what is happening on campus. | | | Project: Web Development for Mayde Creek High School Software Used: Macromedia DreamWeaver, FireWorks, and Adobe PhotoShop Description: Web site was created for MCHS in my capacity as the school's webmaster. The original site was disorganized and quite unappealing in its look and feel. During my tenure as webmaster the site grew to contain over 400 pages with nearly 1000 photographs. The site design is no longer online. | | | Project: Web Design for Professional Photographer's Portfolio Software Used: Adobe PhotoShop, Macromedia Dreamweaver Description: Professional web site designed as an online portfolio for NYC photographer Xavier Guardans. Site won an award by PDN (Photo District News) magazine in May 2001 as one of the best online photography portfolios. | |
